About Us
The Jeweller’s Florist is the work of Cape Town designer Shannon Hvidsten: floral jewellery where every flower carries a meaning.
Where it began
Shannon’s love of flowers began in her grandparents’ garden at “Daleway” in Constantia, where she grew up surrounded by colour, scent and blooms of every kind. She went on to study Graphic Design at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, and then Jewellery Design and Manufacture, graduating in 2009. The Jeweller’s Florist brings those two loves together.
Every flower has a meaning
For centuries, people have used flowers to say what words cannot. Agapanthus for enduring love. Hydrangea for heartfelt gratitude. Forget-me-not for remembrance. Namaqua daisy for joyous new beginnings. Each of our pieces is based on a flower and the meaning it carries, so you can choose one that says exactly what you mean, for yourself or for someone you love.

Designed in Cape Town
Every design begins as a hand-drawn sketch by Shannon, often inspired by the South African flowers she loves, among them agapanthus, aloe, freesia and the Namaqua daisy. Pieces come in sterling silver, yellow-gold plated sterling silver and rose-gold plated sterling silver, and some are set with gemstones such as amethyst, citrine and rose quartz.

Every piece arrives in our black gift box, ready to give. Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa, with Express Courier available if you need it sooner, and we ship internationally too.
Shannon’s story
The Jeweller’s Florist is more than a business to Shannon. It grew out of difficult seasons, and the comfort that flowers have always brought her.
